Where the numbers on this site come from
Every figure on the live, leaderboard, trader, recap, sentiment and records pages is read from Moon.com's public Community section: the public trade feed, the leaderboard, the best-trades boards, the per-asset long and short volume, and public profiles. This page says how often we read them, what we see and what we miss, and how to get something corrected or removed.

What we collect
Five things, all of which Moon.com shows to anyone without an account:
- The public feed. Each public trade as Moon lists it: the username (or none, for a hidden player), the asset, Up or Down, the leverage, the stake, the open and close prices, the result and Moon's payout multiplier. Moon labels the side long or short in its data, so that is the word we use.
- The leaderboards. Moon's best-traders board for the day, the week and the month, by profit and loss (PnL) and by return, 25 rows each, with the volume, trade count, best trade and most-traded asset Moon shows for each name.
- The best trades. Moon's best-bets board for each period.
- Long and short volume per asset. The open leveraged volume on each side of every listed asset, with Moon's quoted price at the time.
- Public profiles. For traders who appear on a board: the period figures Moon publishes on their profile, their follower count, and their hide preferences. Nothing behind a login is read.
Nothing is scraped from Moon that Moon hides: a hidden name stays hidden, hidden bets stay hidden, and no Moon logo, icon or screenshot is reused.

Every data page carries the same line under its heading: the time, in UTC, its figures were last read, and how often that page refreshes. When the feed is paused the line says so, and lists keep the last figures we saw rather than going blank.
What we miss
Moon's feed returns the last 10 public trades per request. Reading it every 30 seconds catches most trades, but in a burst more than 10 can land between two reads, and we miss the ones in between. Each recap states the share we saw: the coverage line reads "we saw 7,359 of roughly 7,900 trades" on a day the feed was visible to us 94% of the time, and it is omitted only when coverage was at least 90% and the estimate is within 15% of the count.
When our usual reader is offline the site can fall back to a direct read with lower coverage; pages built that way say "direct feed" in their status line. Days with fewer than 100 observed trades, no board rows and no best trades get no recap at all, and the recap index says why.
Hidden players and hidden bets
A trader who hides their name on Moon appears as "Hidden player" in every row and as "a player with a hidden name" in prose. Their trades count toward totals and never toward any trader page. A trader who hides their bets keeps the period totals Moon publishes on their profile, and no individual trade of theirs is shown, on any page, in any alert. A trader who hides their wagered amount has volume omitted everywhere. If a named trader starts hiding, the page stops growing and the index rule in the next section retires it.
What is Moon's figure and what is ours
Two kinds of number appear on the site and they are labelled differently. Moon's own figures are Moon's: a leaderboard row, a profile's period PnL, a best trade from Moon's board. We show them as Moon reports them and never recompute them. Observed figures are ours: counts, totals, streaks, hourly charts and long shares built from the trades we saw. A row is one or the other, never a mix, and the caption says which.
Trader pages exist for names that appear on Moon's boards. A page is indexed by search engines only once it has substance (board appearances, best trades, enough observed activity); below that line it exists, is linked from the boards, and asks search engines not to index it.
Money and time
Money is US dollars as Moon reports it; nothing is converted. Times are UTC throughout, because Moon's day and week are UTC periods: the day resets at 00:00 UTC and the week starts Monday 00:00 UTC. Live rows show your local clock once the page is running; recaps stay in UTC because they are documents about a UTC day.
How records are decided
A record is the largest value of its kind among observed trades and Moon's best-trades boards since 30 August 2026: largest single win, largest stake, largest exposure (stake times leverage), most trades in a day, highest volume in a period. The daily rollup compares the day against every previous recap and writes a record only when the value beats the previous holder; the recap for that day says what it beat. The records pages list the top 50 of each kind, and a record by a hidden player is listed without a name.
Corrections and removals
Removals. If your username appears on this site and you want your page gone, email hello@moonleverage.com from a way we can tie to the account (a screenshot of your Moon settings showing the username, or a message from the same username in Moon's chat). Within 24 hours the page is removed, its address returns a 410, the name leaves the boards, recaps and alerts, and it is written as "a player who asked not to be named" wherever the figures remain in totals. Reinstatement is only at your request.
Corrections. When a figure is wrong we fix it and add a note on the page saying what changed and when; we do not rewrite history silently. Email the same address with the page and the figure.
Who does this and why
moonleverage.com is an independent site about Moon.com, run by the person behind tail.bet, which tracks Stake's public data the same way. We are not Moon. Links from this site to Moon are referral links: if you sign up through one, Moon pays us a commission and you pay nothing extra, as the affiliate disclosure sets out. Moon's team is aware of this site and its use of the public feed; our reader identifies itself to Moon on every request.
The data is published so that the numbers Moon shows only in an app, and only for the current period, have a dated, citable record. It is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0: use it with a link back. Nothing on the site is advice about what to trade, and every wins list says what it is: the tail of a distribution in which most bets are under $200.
Right now the record holds 1 recap, 188 traders with a page and 40 assets with hourly sentiment history.

Definitions
- PnL
- Profit and loss on a closed trade in US dollars, as Moon reports it, after Moon's fees.
- ROI
- Moon's own return figure for the period, shown on its leaderboard as a percentage. We show it exactly as Moon reports it and do not recompute it.
- Volume (notional)
- Stake multiplied by leverage, summed over trades. A $100 stake at 100x counts as $10,000 of volume.
- Leverage
- The multiplier applied to the stake; $100 at 100x behaves like a $10,000 position. Moon offers up to 1000x.
- Liquidation
- Moon closing a bet because the loss reached the stake. At 1000x that is a move of about 0.1% against the position, before spread and fees.
- A trader who hides their name on Moon. Their trades count toward totals and never toward any trader page.
- As of
- The time, in UTC, when the figures on the page were last read from Moon's public feed and boards. Live pages refresh every 30 seconds while you watch; trader pages and recaps are rebuilt daily just after midnight UTC.
- Stake
- The amount of money a trader puts on a single bet, before fees.
- Notional (exposure)
- Stake multiplied by leverage.
- Long, short
- A long is Moon's Up bet (profits if price rises); a short is a Down bet. We use long and short because that is how Moon's data labels them.
- Multiplier
- The payout divided by the stake, including fees, for a closed trade. 1.00x is break-even.
- Open long leveraged volume divided by open long plus short leveraged volume on an asset, as a percentage. 50% means balanced.
- Observed
- Seen by our feed. Moon's feed returns the last 10 public trades per request; we see most trades, not all, and we say how many we missed on each recap.
- Distance to liquidation
- How far price has to move against an open position before Moon closes it: 100% divided by the leverage, plus or minus the move so far. At 1000x a fresh position is 0.1% away.
- Leaderboard rank
- Position on Moon's own best-traders board for the period, by PnL. Moon shows only the current period; the history here is our record of it.
- Final
- The last leaderboard capture before Moon's period reset (23:55 UTC), which is the ranking the archive keeps. When the feed was offline for the close, the archive keeps the last capture it has, says when it was taken, and does not call it final.
- Day, week
- Moon's periods, UTC; the week starts Monday 00:00 UTC.
- Win rate
- Moon's own share of a trader's closed trades that ended in profit, as a percentage, for the period Moon reports.

Is this data real-time?
Close to it. The public feed is read every 30 seconds, open long and short volume every minute and the boards every 5 minutes; the live page polls every 30 seconds while you watch. Recaps, trader pages and records are rebuilt daily just after 00:00 UTC, and every page carries the time its figures were last read.
Why is my username on this site?
Moon.com publishes your username with your public trades and leaderboard rank in its Community section. We show it exactly as Moon does. If you want your page removed, email hello@moonleverage.com and it comes down within 24 hours.
Why does my trade count differ from Moon's?
Moon's feed returns the last 10 public trades per request, so between two reads we can miss trades in a burst. Figures labelled observed are what we saw; figures labelled Moon's own are Moon's, unchanged. The two are never mixed in one row.
Can I use this data?
Yes. The observations are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence: use them with a link to moonleverage.com. Moon.com's own figures remain Moon's.
Why are some traders missing?
Players who hide their name appear as Hidden player and never get a page. Traders who hide their bets keep Moon's period totals but no individual trades. A page exists only for names that appear on Moon's boards, and it is indexed only once there is enough on it to be worth reading.
