Sign up to Moon.com through our referral link and you are on the VIP track from day one, where rakeback returns 3.5% of every fee you pay, win or lose. What is Moon.com rakeback?
Moon.com rakeback returns 3.5% of the fees you pay to your account. Every bet on Moon carries a 1% opening fee on the stake, a holding fee every 8 hours the bet stays open, and a performance fee of at least 10% on realized profit. Rakeback takes 3.5% of that combined fee bill and hands it back, whether the bet won or lost. It switches on when you sign up through an approved affiliate or streamer, or when you reach Bronze VIP.
Sign up through our link, which fills the promo code moonlev into the registration form, complete verification, and open the rewards tab in your account to see whether rakeback is listed. If it is not showing yet, ask Moon support to enable it and mention the code.

How rakeback is calculated
The base for rakeback is your fees, not your stake and not your exposure. That distinction matters because leverage does nothing to it. A $100 bet costs $1.00 to open at 1x and $1.00 to open at 1000x, so the rakeback on that opening fee is 3.5 cents either way.
Here is the arithmetic on one bet:
- Stake $100, opening fee 1% of stake = $1.00. Rakeback: 3.5% × $1.00 = $0.035.
- The bet closes with $50 of realized profit. Performance fee at the 10% minimum = $5.00. Rakeback: 3.5% × $5.00 = $0.175.
- Total fees $6.00, total rakeback $0.21.
Holding fees count too. Moon assesses one every 8 hours at a dynamic rate it does not publish as a number, so we cannot put a dollar figure on it here, but whatever it charges you, 3.5% of it comes back. The fees guide breaks down all four charges, including the undisclosed spread, which is built into the price rather than charged as a fee and so does not feed rakeback.
How do you activate rakeback on Moon.com?
Moon’s help center describes two activation paths.
Through the promo code moonlev. Moon issued us this code on 8 September 2026 and it activates 3.5% rakeback on the account that registers with it. Our link fills it into the code field for you; type moonlev in lowercase if the field is empty. After signing up, open the rewards tab. If rakeback is not active, message support, mention the code, and ask them to switch it on.
Through an approved affiliate or streamer. Accounts that register through an approved partner’s link also have rakeback enabled; the code above is that route with nothing left to chance.
By reaching Bronze VIP. Bronze is the first VIP tier Moon names, and reaching it activates rakeback on its own. Moon has not published the wagering threshold for Bronze, so if you sign up without a referral, the rewards area of your account is the place to see how far away it is.
The promo code page covers what else the referral link does, and what it does not do: your fees are identical to every other account’s whether you use a link or not.
What does 3.5% rakeback return? A worked month
Take a player who pays $200 in fees in a month. That is a realistic bill for someone betting a few hundred dollars at a time. For scale, the volume column on our leaderboard shows what Moon’s top traders turn over in a week, and 1% of that is the opening-fee bill rakeback is measured against. One way to reach it:
| Fee | How it arises in the month | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Opening fees | 100 bets at $100 stake = $10,000 wagered × 1% | $100.00 |
| Performance fees | $800 of realized profit across the winners × 10% minimum | $80.00 |
| Holding fees | A handful of bets held past an 8-hour window (illustrative) | $20.00 |
| Total fees | $200.00 | |
| Rakeback at 3.5% | 3.5% × $200 | $7.00 |
The holding-fee line is an illustration, since Moon does not publish the rate; the total is what matters. On $200 of fees, rakeback returns $7.00 for the month, or $84 across a year at the same pace.
Scale it either way. $50 of fees returns $1.75. $500 returns $17.50. $2,000 returns $70. Rakeback never turns a losing month into a winning one; it trims the cost of playing by 3.5%. To run it on your own stakes, profit and holding fees, the rakeback calculator on moonrakeback.com does the arithmetic live.
How rakeback interacts with the opening fee and the performance fee
Rakeback does not change the fee schedule. It is applied after the fact, as a rebate. The cleanest way to think about it is as a small reduction in each fee’s effective rate.
The 1% opening fee. You pay 1% of your stake on every bet. Rakeback returns 3.5% of that, which is 0.035% of your stake. Effective opening fee: 1% × (1 − 0.035) = 0.965% of stake. On a $100 bet, that is $1.00 out and 3.5 cents back.
The performance fee. You pay at least 10% of realized profit on a winning close. Rakeback returns 3.5% of that fee, which is 0.35% of your profit at the 10% minimum. Effective performance fee: 10% × (1 − 0.035) = 9.65% of profit. On a $100 win, that is $10.00 out and 35 cents back. If Moon applies a rate above the 10% minimum on your account, the rebate scales with it.
Losing bets. No performance fee is charged on a loss, so the only rakeback on a loser comes from the opening fee and any holding fees. A $100 bet that gets liquidated inside 8 hours costs $101 in total (stake plus opening fee) and returns 3.5 cents.
Two things follow. Rakeback is worth more to players who realize profit, because the performance fee is usually the largest line on a winning bet. And it cannot offset the spread, which is built into the price you bet at rather than charged as a fee. The how it works guide shows where each of those costs lands in a bet.
Moon.com VIP tiers and rewards
Moon runs a VIP program alongside rakeback. Bronze is the first tier named in Moon’s help center, and reaching it is one of the two rakeback triggers. Moon has not published the tiers above Bronze, the thresholds, or what each tier pays, so we are not going to guess. Your account’s rewards area shows your current tier, and this page will carry the full ladder once Moon publishes it.
There is no welcome bonus at the time of writing: no deposit match, no free bet. Where Moon does credit bonus funds, its terms state they carry wagering requirements, meaning you bet through them before they become withdrawable. Rakeback is a rebate on fees already paid rather than bonus money.
Rakeback in proportion
Rakeback returns 3.5 cents on a $1 fee, while a 0.1% move against a 1000x bet ends it entirely, so treat rakeback as a small discount on the cost of playing rather than a reason to bet more.
Rakeback, cashback and rewards: what the names mean
Searches for Moon.com cashback and Moon.com rewards land on the same program. Cashback is rakeback under a different name. Rewards is the account area where rakeback, VIP status and any future promotions are listed. If a site advertises a large Moon.com cashback percentage, read the fine print: the published figure is 3.5% of fees, and on a $100 bet that is 3.5 cents at open.
Getting rakeback running
- Register through our link. It fills the promo code moonlev in for you; type it in lowercase if the code field is empty.
- Complete KYC. Moon asks for government ID (front and back) and proof of address before your first deposit.
- Open your rewards tab. If rakeback is listed, you are set. If not, ask support to enable it and mention you signed up through a referral.
- Deposit crypto and play, or start in play-money mode first.
Rakeback is a small, steady edge on every fee you pay, and it costs nothing to switch on. The review covers the rest of the platform, and Moon is not available in every country; the FAQ has the current list.
Frequently asked
What is Moon.com rakeback?
Rakeback is a rebate of 3.5% of the fees you pay on Moon.com, credited back to your account. It is calculated on fees, not on your stake or your profit, and it applies whether the bet wins or loses.
How do I get rakeback on Moon.com?
Three routes: the promo code moonlev, which our link fills into the registration form and which activates 3.5% rakeback; signing up through an approved affiliate or streamer; or reaching Bronze VIP. After registering through our link, open your rewards tab; if rakeback is not showing, ask Moon support and mention the code.
How much is 3.5% rakeback worth?
It depends on your fees. A player paying $200 a month in opening, holding and performance fees gets $7.00 back that month, or $84 over a year. Fees scale with your stakes and profits, so rakeback does too.
Does Moon.com have a VIP program?
Yes. Moon runs VIP tiers, and Bronze is the first tier named in its help center. Moon has not published the full tier list or the thresholds, so check the rewards area in your account for your current status.
Is rakeback the same as a Moon.com cashback bonus?
Sites that advertise Moon.com cashback are describing the same 3.5% fee rebate. Unlike bonus funds, which Moon's terms say carry wagering requirements, rakeback is a rebate on fees you have already paid.
Does Moon.com have a welcome bonus?
Not at the time of writing. Moon launched in late August 2026 and has not published a deposit match or free-bet offer. Rakeback and the VIP track are what a new account gets today.
